Engels filmproducent. Verantwoordelijk voor alle 31 films tussen 1958 en 1992 in de pikante kluchtencyclus Carry On... (alle geregisseerd door Gerald Thomas). Aanvankelijk journalist en hoorspelauteur voor de BBC, daarna werkzaam voor J. Arthur Rank's Religious Films Ltd. en vanaf 1946 voor de in kostuumfilms gespecialiseerde Gainsborough Studios, waar hij zijn echtgenote, de producent Betty Box, ontmoette en nog later voor Pinewood, Produceerde films als The Dog and the Diamonds (Ralph Thomas, 1953), You Know What Sailors Are (tevens scenario; Ken Annakin, 1954), To Dorothy a Son (Muriel Box, 1954), The Vicious Circle (Gerald Thomas, 1957), Time Lock (Gerald Thomas, 1957), The Cat Girl (Alfred Shaughnessy, 1957), Please Turn Over (Gerald Thomas, 1959), Watch Your Stern (Gerald Thomas, 1960), Raising the Wind (Gerald Thomas, 1961), The Iron Maiden (Gerald Thomas, 1962), Twice round the Daffodils (Gerald Thomas, 1962), Nurse on Wheels (Gerald Thomas, 1963), The Big Job (Gerald Thomas, 1965), Don't Lose Your Head (Gerald Thomas, 1966), Follow That Camel (Gerald Thomas, 1967), Revenge (Sidney Hayers, 1971), Assault (Hayers, 1971), Quest for Love (Ralph Thomas, 1971) en Bless This House (Gerald Thomas, 1972).
