documentaires en commercials. Ook produceerde hij de speelfilms Hangin’ with the Homeboys (Joseph B.
Vasquez, 1991) en Caught (Robert M.
Young, 1996). Co-producent van Arizona
Dream (Emir Kusturica, 1992), Deconstructing
Harry (Woody Allen, 1997), Celebrity (Allen,
1998) en Sweet and Lowdown (Allen,
1999). Regisseerde de in Mannheim bekroonde korte documentaire Last Stand Farmer (1976), alsmede The House Construction Home Movie (1971),
The Conspiracy and the Dybbuk (1971)
en Visits of God: Two First Hand Accounts
of Near-Death Experiences (samen met Pascal Kaplan, 1980). Professor in filmproductie aan Columbia University.
